☀️Sometimes the best therapy happens when children don’t even realize how hard they’re working! We love this game for visual and ocular motor skills, as well as sustained attention. The vestibular input from the swing also helps many children stay engaged and regulated throughout the activity. 🛝👌🏼

☀️Sometimes the simplest activities have the biggest impact! These animal walk challenges provide heavy work while:
💪🏼 strengthening their core, arms, and legs; 🧠 improving motor planning; ⚖️ and building balance and coordination. Heavy work helps children to feel more organized, regulated, and ready to learn!

🐾Why do OTs love animal walks?
Because they’re one of the easiest ways to combine movement and learning! Animal walks provide heavy work to muscles and joints, which can help improve body awareness and regulation while also strengthening 💪🏼core muscles, arms and shoulders, coordination, and balance. The best part? Kids just think they’re playing! ❤️

⚖️Balanxe in action! Activities like this don’t just build coordination, they also help improve attention and focus. When kids engage their bodies to stay steady, it supports regulation and makes it easier to stay on task. Moving the body to support the brain! 🧠 💪🏼

✏️Writng the steps to make a craft = writing with purpose! When kids are excited about what they created, it makes practicing writing so much more meaningful (and fun!). This special paper also provides visual supports to help with spacing between words- setting the up for success one sentence at a time. 🌟.
