Help us fill the pantry and feed our community!

This July, Nurturing Minds Therapy Center is partnering with The Place for a Summer Food Drive, and we’d love your help!

From July 1st through July 23rd, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food items to help support local families in need. Every donation—big or small—makes a difference.

Learning looks different for every child and sometimes, it looks a lot like play!

One child might be building strength and confidence on our climbing wall, another might be exploring imaginative play as a doctor, creating with Play-Doh, or turning a simple cushion into the silliest hat.

To someone walking by, it might just look like kids having fun. But underneath those moments, they’re practicing communication, problem-solving, flexibility, social skills, motor development, and so much more!

At Nurturing Minds, we follow each child’s interests and use meaningful, play-based experiences to help them grow in ways that feel natural, engaging, and joyful!

Just a little peek into our days at Nurturing Minds!

Some of the sweetest moments in our clinic happen through play.

Whether it’s pretending to cook a meal, exploring music with friends, or turning toy donuts into silly glasses, these moments are building so much more than fun. Through child-led play, our kiddos are practicing communication, connection, creativity, problem-solving, and social engagement in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them.

We love creating spaces where children can feel safe to explore, be themselves, and learn through joy. 🤍

This week at Nurturing Minds 🤍

From imaginative play and hands-on learning to problem solving and building new skills, our days are filled with so much more than just “sessions.” We’re building independence, communication, creativity, and confidence one moment at a time.

We even caught our team in their natural habitat… supporting, planning, problem-solving, and doing all the behind-the-scenes work that helps everything run smoothly!

And of course, we made time to celebrate too! 🎈🧁 Because birthdays (and the joy that comes with them) matter just as much as every other milestone!

Every child learns differently, plays differently, and grows in their own way and we’re here to support all of it. The focused moments, the proud smiles, the little wins, the big celebrations… this is what it’s all about.

We love getting to be part of it!

A new online portal is available for Georgia Medicaid Katie Beckett members. The new portal is designed to provide a more convenient way to access and manage your benefits.

With the new portal, you can:
- Upload and submit application & renewal documents
- Track your application status and checklists
- Securely message your case worker

Once you complete a new application or renewal, you will receive an email to set up your account at katiebeckettportal.dch.georgia.gov
