In memory of Dolly, we want to share her words that inspire our work as ABA providers.

WHO - We are ABA caregivers, providers, students, and clinicians, but our identity extends beyond our titles.

PURPOSE - To educate and advocate for others, to show up as our best selves to help build others, to act with compassion and care, to continue breaking stigma around ABA and individuals with ASD, and to promote autism acceptance!

As we enter this next week, remember WHO you are and what your PURPOSE is.

1. Create individualized recommendations built from an assessment — with goals you
help prioritize, receive in writing, and have fully explained.
2. Include you and your opinion to help prioritize goals, review the plan, and be an
active partner in shared decision-making.
3. Have clear RBT training, a plan for staff transitions, and deliberate steps to maintain consistency for your child.
4. Provide ethical ABA services that teaches by building cooperation and trust —
never through fear, force, or unnecessary distress.
5. Help skills transfer to real life — not stay locked in one room.
6. Welcome your questions, offer tours, and never pressure you before your child is assessed.
