Hilltop Manor got a new “ride” and we are so excited!!! The residents and staff were happy to check it out and do a “Ribbon Cutting” to celebrate the new addition to our facility!!

Story: One of our Wellness activities this week consisted of going outside and playing with the remote control cars. It can be a real challenge to figure out the remote controls as well as maneuvering the car around the cones. The weather was perfect and it was a great morning to spend outside in the fresh air!!

We had the cutest little girls, all of them are cousins come to Hilltop and do a fashion show for our Residents. They modeled several dresses with matching shoes and tiara‘s. The models were Clementine, Lena and Garnet. Juniper was the emcee and let me tell you, she was wonderful at announcing the girls and talking about their dresses!! All of the girls did a fantastic job and we look forward to seeing them again soon! They are the granddaughters of Jana Theis.

Some of our residents enjoyed the weather last week and planted some flowers in our garden boxes!! Marla and Lila had a wonderful time together reminiscing about their experiences with gardens!! Thank you to Sandy and Julie for providing the plants for our garden!!!

We finished up our SNF week “Field of Blooms” last Friday. We had an all American lunch with hotdogs, potato salad, baked beans, chips and of course apple pie! Thanks to Gene for being the grill master. We also crowned our Buddy game champion Stan and staff partner Ana!!! They received the most points during the week on our challenges, therefore they win the Golden Belt and bragging rights for the year!Congratulations to them!! Lilly was the lucky staff drawing winner of tickets to the Wind Surge game!! Congratulations Lilly!

Our SNF week festivities are beginning to wind down…..today we started with the movie “Sandlot” along with some Crackerjacks for a snack. This afternoon was Buddy Games baseball throwing. Alisha with Gentevia stopped by with some goodies to make ice cream sundae’s! Thank you Gentevia for sponsoring the treats! They were served in the cutest baseball hats.❤️. Gene was our staff winner of a prize to see Trace Adkins at the Kansas State Fair. It was a wonderful day for everyone.

Today’s SNF week fun was Happy hour with bar snacks, wear your favorite college apparel, and the Buddy Game challenge was a Baseball Trivia Tournament. Our winner of the staff drawing went to Diana!! She won tickets to Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias at the Kansas State Fair!!! Stay tuned for more fun tomorrow!

Another great day at Hilltop Manor today!! Today was Decade day and several staff did a great job of dressing the part. Our Buddy Game was “pitch and hit”, and we have some really awesome hitters here at Hilltop!! We followed up the game with some yummy nachos. Our staff prize was a “movie box”won by Latosha! A great day had by all.
