⚖️ TODAY’S FEATURED SPEAKER: Ricky Cutlip | Shapero & Green

Today at BNI Crooked River, we heard from Ricky Cutlip of Shapero & Green. Ricky may practice law, but at the heart of his work is something pretty simple: helping people solve problems and move forward.

Ricky works with individuals and business owners across a variety of legal needs, including business formation and transactions, business litigation, real-estate matters, property management and evictions, commercial debt issues, and domestic relations. When clients need assistance outside his practice areas, such as personal injury, he can also connect them with trusted resources.

One area Ricky especially enjoys is working with entrepreneurs and small-business owners, helping turn the idea of owning a business into something real—and providing guidance as that business grows and encounters new challenges.

We also heard a great testimonial from a fellow BNI member whose referrals have repeatedly had positive experiences working with Ricky. Having an attorney you know, like and trust can make a difficult situation much easier to navigate.

🎤 TODAY’S FEATURED SPEAKER: Heidi Bailey | Aflac

What happens when a serious illness strikes—but the mortgage, groceries and everyday bills keep arriving right on schedule?

Today at BNI Crooked River, Heidi Bailey of Aflac shared how supplemental insurance can help families manage the financial impact of an unexpected illness or diagnosis. While traditional health insurance helps pay medical providers, Aflac benefits are paid directly to the policyholder, giving families added flexibility when they need it most.

For Heidi, this work is personal. Cancer has touched her family many times, giving her a firsthand understanding of the emotional and financial strain it can create.

“Cancer isn’t a headline to me. It’s my family.”

Heidi also introduced us to My Special Aflac Duck®, an interactive companion created to help children with cancer and blood disorders express their feelings and feel supported during treatment. Seeing the impact of that program was part of what inspired Heidi to pursue this work.

She also reminded business owners that you don’t have to be a large company to offer supplemental benefits. Even employers with just a few employees may have options to help their team prepare for the unexpected.

Yesterday at BNI Crooked River, we heard from Sherry Harp of The Clean Girls, whose story is a great reminder of what can happen when you finally decide to bet on yourself.

After years in physically demanding jobs, Sherry stopped talking about starting her own business and took the leap. Today, The Clean Girls provides residential and commercial cleaning throughout Summit, Stark and Portage Counties, including routine cleaning, deep cleaning, move-in/move-out services and customized cleaning.

Today at BNI Crooked River, we heard from Matt Keller, owner of Bayshore Insurance Agency and learned a little about the person behind the business, too. Apparently, Matt was once voted “Most Adorable” by his high school class! 😄

After years of experience in insurance, lending, and the financial industry, Matt recently launched Bayshore Insurance Agency, bringing that experience together with one major priority: providing a better, more responsive client experience.

As an independent agent with access to multiple carriers, Matt can help clients find the right coverage for their needs, not simply the lowest price.

🏡 A great referral for Matt is someone who is:
• Buying or refinancing a home
• Adding a vehicle or new driver
• Getting married or divorced
• Moving, renovating, or purchasing a second home
