🚨 Not every patient needs an X-ray before chiropractic care.

That idea comes from an older model of chiropractic where X-rays were often taken routinely. Today, research and modern clinical guidelines tell us something different:

📸 X-rays should be used when they’re likely to change the diagnosis or treatment plan—not as a screening tool for every patient.

So when do we typically consider imaging?

✅ Significant trauma or injury
✅ Suspected fracture
✅ Signs of serious pathology (infection, cancer, etc.)
✅ Progressive neurological symptoms
✅ Symptoms that aren’t improving as expected
✅ Surgical planning or medical co-management
