Vulnerable post 🤍
Being a business owner is not for the weak. The high weeks are amazing, but the lows can feel extra low and sometimes incredibly lonely.
I’ve now been self-employed for over 5 years, and somehow every year comes with a new set of growing pains. Every new season of my business has required a new version of me.
The way I ran my business in years 1–2 is not the way I can run it in year 5. I’ve had to learn how to delegate, set boundaries, make uncomfortable decisions, trust my team, take time off without guilt, and accept that growth doesn’t always feel exciting while you’re in the middle of it.
There are so many parts of business ownership that people don’t see behind the pretty posts, and celebrations.
And while I’m still figuring a lot of it out, I’m proud of the business I’ve built. I’m even more proud of the person I’ve had to become in order to keep building it.
To my clients and my team, thank you for your grace, patience, support and trust as I continue learning, growing and navigating what leadership looks like in every new season
