Mount Sinai Wellness Center

Mount Sinai Wellness Center Mount Sinai Wellness Center is one of the most comprehensive residential addiction rehabilitation facilities in the United States No one is immune.

The prescription opioids/heroin, drug and alcohol addiction epidemic is affecting many individuals in the United States (U.S.). Per US surgeon general report, more than 100 individuals die every day due to drug overdose. Only about 10 percent of people with a substance use disorder receive any type of specialty treatment. Further, over 40 percent of people with a substance use disorder also have a

mental health condition, yet fewer than half (48.0 percent) receive treatment for either disorder. It is estimated that the yearly economic impact of substance misuse and substance use disorders is $249 billion for alcohol misuse and alcohol use disorders and $193 billion for illicit drug use and drug use

To meet the desperate needs for quality treatment, Mt Sinai leadership team created a state of the art clinical program to assist in combating the disease of addiction in Georgia. Our goal is to provide an excellent clinical, educational and research based model. We will utilize evidence based psychotherapeutic interventions along with medication assisted treatment in an integrated fashion to address the psychological and biological etiologies for the addictive disorders. Our model will be holistic where we will also utilize alternative medicine e.g. Yoga, Tai Chi, equine assisted therapy, nutritional classes and exercise to transform the unhealthy life style associated with addiction into active healthy habits. We will offer alumni aftercare groups along with onsite AA/smart recover/refuge recovery meetings to assist in the transition of our clients back to their communities. We will involve families in the treatment and assist and support them as they handle the care of their loved ones. We will offer this model in a luxurious facility located on a mountain top in Dahlonega, GA where the clean air and green surrounding will create a healthy atmosphere for wellness and recovery. To give back to our community we will offer training and education for trainees from different disciplines including Social workers, nurses, interns and others

Our ultimate goal is to research our treatment outcome to guide us in improving our performance over time.
