You become a Dementia Friend by attending the one-hour informational session to learn about living with dementia, and the simple things you can do to support someone living with the disease. Congratulations to three team members, that recently completed their training and passed the exams – to earn their professional nursing licenses. Veronica Wennerstrom LPN, Gloria Chombeng RN, and Patience Saplah LPN. Members of the nursing leadership team – Brenda Lynch DONS, Alana Marean ADON, and Kasey Finnell, Coordinator of Nursing Services – presented our new nurses with gifts to congratulate them on their accomplishments!!

Center for Assisted Living.

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program is a progressive, three-step process that encourages the continuous learning, development, and ex*****on of integrated quality systems to achieve performance excellence. Each progressive step requires a more detailed and comprehensive demonstration of quality integration and performance. The criteria for each step are based on the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.

Applicants that receive the Silver Award provide an extensive assessment of their systematic approaches, performance measures, and sustainable organizational and process results that are linked to the key customer requirements, success factors, and challenges previously identified through the achievement of earning their Bronze - Commitment to Quality Award.

We're having a GREAT summer at Spurgeon Senior Community. We celebrated our wonderful CNAs last month during National CNA Week. We had prize drawings, special refreshments, and dress-up days. Thank you for all the compassionate care you provide each and every day. We appreciate you!

Leona Knorr was looking very patriotic last week as she celebrated her 99 1/2 birthday. Her daughter, Beth Morris was in town on the 26th, to celebrate the occasion. Happy Birthday to Leona and to the USA!
