Very similar to the “Then what?” question series. I have found that this question demands the person to turn inward and reflect. Often, the fear is tied to concern of what others think or how they’ll perceive them.

I keep thinking about something a parent told me this week that I thought was just beautiful. They said:

“There is no ‘problem person’ in our family. We see healing as a group effort. We all have stuff to work on; we grow and heal together, supporting one another along the way.”

I was like 😭🥹🥰👏🏻👏🏻📢

I believe we will see incredible growth with the client because of this parent’s perspective and willingness to look inward and do their own work. Kids function in a family system and that can’t be ignored.

We’ve got some (re)introductions coming at you this week!

Bethany opened Moss Counseling in May 2021. Before that, she worked in both agency & private settings. She became an LPC Supervisor last year and just recently became a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor!

In therapy, she’s most passionate about helping clients become attuned to themselves: mastering the skills of self awareness, identifying emotions and regulating the nervous system.

She offers play therapy for young children and enjoys partnering with parents and teachers to help achieve therapeutic goals for the child. In working with adults, she helps navigate the complexities of relational & developmental trauma, anxiety, and other life changes & adjustments.

Outside of running the practice, you can find her strolling around Northpark mall, serving with and consuming Mexican food on the patio (when TX weather is behaving 😅)
