Balance & coordination are essential for maintaining independence; and strengthening exercises play a key role in fall prevention and overall mobility.
In skilled nursing rehabilitation, our goal is simple: improve strength, increase endurance, and support patients in safely performing daily tasks.
Here are a few effective exercises we like to incorporate:
• Wall Push-Ups – Strengthen the chest, shoulders, and arms while promoting stability.
• Chair Squats – Build leg and glute strength to support safe transitions from sitting to standing.
• Arm Curls – Improve upper body strength, helping with everyday movements.
• Leg Raises – Engage core and hip flexors to enhance balance and control.
• Toe Raises – Strengthen calves and improve stability during standing and walking.
When implemented consistently and safely, these exercises can significantly reduce the risk of injury and empower patients to move with confidence.

🗣️ Swallowing & Cognition in Skilled Nursing 🧠
