We’re proud to announce that ALL Little Spurs Pediatric Urgent Care locations across Dallas and San Antonio are now Autism Friendly through Autism Speaks! 🎉

What does that mean? At least 80% of staff at every location have completed Autism Speaks training focused on providing inclusive, welcoming care for people with autism and related conditions.

We know healthcare visits can feel overwhelming for some children, and we’re committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, understood, and supported.

We’re proud to continue making pediatric healthcare more inclusive for every child.

🚨 The Hidden Danger of Water Beads 🚨

Water beads may seem harmless, but they pose serious risks to young children if swallowed, potentially causing life-threatening intestinal blockages.

From 2019 to 2024, U.S. poison centers reported over 20,000 cases of water bead ingestion in kids under 6, with toddlers making up two-thirds of those incidents. Some require hospitalization or surgery. Awareness and early medical evaluation are crucial!

Symptoms might not appear immediately; children may seem fine for hours or days.
