In Comal County, residents looking for access to birth control, STI screenings, or preventive reproductive care have nowhere local to turn. That gap in access doesn't just affect individuals - it affects entire communities.

Behind every shift in conversation, there's a community making it happen. 💛

Meet our Community Oversight Board (COB) - parents, educators, clinicians, youth, and community members from Dallas, San Antonio, and the Rio Grande Valley who help guide the work of Talk About It Texas.

Every other month, they come together to share insight, build connections, and help shape how we move forward by promoting system changes and shifting social norms around s*xual health education in Texas.

To our COB members, thank you for showing up, speaking up, and helping us build a future where every young Texan has access to the conversations and care they deserve. 🙌

The number of syphilis cases among young people has almost doubled over the past 4 years.

This is happening in Collin County, one of the fastest-growing and most prosperous communities in Texas. Even when resources are available, a lack of health education and access can still leave young people vulnerable.

All communities, regardless of income levels, deserve to have their teens and young adults supported.

Nearly 1 in 2 young adults in Cameron County are navigating life without health insurance.

For a generation already facing rising costs, limited job benefits, and growing health concerns, 44% going uninsured isn't just a statistic. It's a issue that challenged things like basic care and peace of mind.

Our communities deserve better access. Because where you live shouldn't determine whether you can afford to see a doctor.

Heat, friction, and time can all affect a condom's ability to protect against pregnancy and STIs - and most people don't realize it until it's too late.

We get it, this isn't something that's always taught, which is exactly why we're talking about it during Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month.
