Okay, but can we talk about what’s happening on college campuses right now? 👀

Pilates parties. Run clubs. Matcha mornings. Cold plunges. And apparently, we’re calling daytime wellness parties “darties” now.

Not us being completely obsessed with this. 💗

Because somewhere between the 8 a.m. Pilates classes and the girls choosing a Saturday morning run over a Friday night hangover, something pretty cool is happening.

Taking care of yourself is becoming the thing to do.

And Charlees, THIS is what we’re talking about when we say wellness is so much bigger than an annual gyno appointment.

Your hormones? Wellness.
Your sleep? Wellness.
Your mental health? Absolutely wellness.
Your period, your skin, your energy, your relationships, your s*xual health? Yep. All of it.

And no, you don’t have to own a matching workout set or drink $9 matcha to participate. 😂

That’s actually what we’ve always believed at Charleston House.

Women’s healthcare should be about the whole woman. Not just one appointment, one symptom, or one stage of life.

And for our Charlees, that starts NOW.

We want you asking questions, understanding your body, learning what feels normal for you, and knowing you have a place to talk about the things you’re Googling at midnight.

Not just when something feels wrong.
Not just when you need birth control.
And definitely not just once a year.

Because learning to take care of yourself in your teens and twenties? That’s something you’ll carry with you for the rest of your life.

So yes, girls. Keep the Pilates parties coming. Make the run club plans. Romanticize your morning walks.

And while you’re making wellness part of your social life, let’s make understanding your body part of it, too.

That’s the Charleston House approach. And it’s exactly what we want for every one of our Charlees.

Your period is late and your brain immediately goes there. 👀

Pregnancy? Maybe.

But your cycle has a lot more layers than that.

Stress from midterms.
Flying home for the weekend.
Sleeping four hours a night.
Starting a new workout routine.
Getting sick.
Changing birth control.
Starting a medication.
Hormonal changes.

All kinds of things happening in your life can show up in your cycle.

So if pregnancy is possible, yes—take the test. But if it’s negative, that doesn’t mean you’re imagining the change or that there isn’t another explanation.

And if your period keeps coming late, disappearing, getting significantly heavier, or generally doing something that makes you think “okay, this is new…”

Come ask us about it.

Because sometimes the question isn’t just “Where is my period?”

It’s “What else has changed?”

October PSA for all our Charlees: you are allowed to know what is normal for your own b***s. 💗

Breasts are not perfectly symmetrical. They can feel different at different points in your cycle. They change with hormones, birth control, weight changes and life.

The goal is NOT to obsessively check them or panic over every little thing.

The goal is to be familiar enough with your own body that you notice when something is genuinely new or different.

New lump? Skin change? Ni**le change or unexpected discharge? Something that persists and feels off?

That is worth a conversation.

Knowing your body isn’t dramatic. It’s being body-aware!

Some conversations are easier to have before you’re in the middle of them.

That’s why we talk about consent.

Not because we think you need a lecture—but because dating, relationships, parties and s*x can come with situations nobody really prepares you for.

And sometimes the question doesn’t come until afterward.

Was that okay?
Should I feel weird about that?
Do I need to get tested?
Can I talk to someone without making this a whole thing?

Yes. You can. 🫶🏼

You don’t have to have the right words or even know exactly what you’re feeling.

Come talk to us. We’re here for you. 💙

Condoms do a lot more than help prevent pregnancy. They’re also one of the best tools we have for reducing the risk of many STIs—and yes, they matter for oral, vaginal AND a**l s*x.

A few things we want every Charlee to know:

✨ Use a new condom every time you have s*x—and from start to finish, not halfway through.

✨ Switching activities? Switch condoms. Going from a**l to vaginal s*x especially means a fresh condom to avoid transferring bacteria.

✨ Check the expiration date. Yes, condoms expire. And if the wrapper is damaged, dried out or questionable? Toss it.

✨ L**e can be your friend. It can make s*x more comfortable and help reduce condom breakage. With latex condoms, stick with water- or silicone-based lubricants rather than oil-based products, which can weaken latex.

✨ Two condoms are NOT better than one. Doubling up can create more friction and increase the chance of breakage.

✨ Condoms reduce STI risk, but they don’t eliminate it completely. Some infections, including herpes and HPV, can spread through skin-to-skin contact in areas a condom doesn’t cover.

✨ Birth control + condoms can have different jobs. The pill, IUD, implant and other contraceptives can help prevent pregnancy, but they don’t protect against STIs.

And if a condom breaks, slips off, or you realize afterward that something didn’t go according to plan? Don’t panic and don’t be embarrassed to call us. We can talk through pregnancy prevention, STI testing and what makes sense next.

No shame. No weird questions. Just the information we wish everyone had gotten the first time around. 🤍

Ask us anything. Seriously. You cannot make it weird.

Consider this your sign to tell someone you’re glad they exist. 🤍

Today is World Gratitude Day, and we’re celebrating the people who make life feel a little lighter.

The friend who answers the FaceTime.
The mom who somehow always knows.
The sister who keeps your secrets.
The roommate who becomes family.
The teacher, coach or mentor who believes in you.
And the person who can make you laugh when you absolutely do NOT feel like laughing.

Gratitude doesn’t have to be a big thing. Sometimes it’s just stopping long enough to say, “Hey, I really appreciate you.”

And while you’re making that list…don’t forget yourself. You’ve made it through some hard days, too. 🫶

Tag your person and give them their flowers today. 🌸

POV: Your Mom Made You a Gyn Appointment 👀

And now you’re thinking…

Wait. What are they going to do?
Do I have to get undressed?
Is there an exam??
WHY DID NO ONE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME? 😂

Okay, first: breathe. It’s probably way less dramatic than the version you’ve created in your head.

Your first gynecology appointment can actually involve a whole lot of…talking.

We want to get to know you. Your health history. Your periods. Medications. How you’ve been feeling. What you’re nervous about. And whatever brought you in.

Maybe your periods are awful.
Maybe you want to talk about birth control.
Maybe something feels a little off.
Maybe your mom just said, “It’s time.” And honestly, here we are. 🙃

And here’s the big one:

Your first appointment does NOT automatically mean every exam and test imaginable is happening that day.

What you need depends on your age, your health history and why you’re there.

We’ll tell you what we recommend. We’ll explain why. You can ask questions. And yes, you can absolutely say, “Wait, what are we doing?” before anything happens.

No surprise plot twists here. 😂

Charles, we want your first experience with women’s healthcare to feel a lot less 😳 and a lot more “Ohhh…that was totally fine.” Because going to the gyn really doesn’t have to be that scary. 🤍

TikTok Diagnoses you with ADHD. Now What? 😵‍💫

You watched one video about ADHD.

Then another.

Then suddenly your entire For You Page is calling you out. 😂

Wait…everyone doesn’t have 37 thoughts happening at once?
Losing everything isn’t just part of my personality?
Why CAN’T I start an assignment until 11:47 PM?
Hold on…do I actually have ADHD?

Maybe.

But here’s where TikTok can only take you so far.

Trouble focusing, procrastination, forgetfulness, feeling overwhelmed and having zero motivation can show up with ADHD—but they can also happen when you’re stressed, anxious, depressed, not sleeping enough, dealing with hormonal changes or simply trying to survive school, work and life all at once.

TikTok can be really good at making you think, “Wait, I should probably ask someone about this.”

And honestly? We love that.

It just shouldn’t be the thing that gives you the diagnosis.

So save the videos. Bring the questions. Tell us what’s been happening.

We’ll help you figure out whether it’s ADHD, something else, or a few things happening at the same time.

Your FYP can start the conversation. We’ll take it from there. 😉

Moving away sounds great until you realize you’re now the person responsible for…everything.

Making your own appointments.
Refilling your prescriptions before you run out.
Remembering when your last period was.
Eating an actual meal occasionally.
Getting more than four hours of sleep.
And figuring out if that weird thing your body is doing is actually worth mentioning.

Apparently this is adulthood? 😂

The good news: you don’t have to suddenly know how to manage your health just because you’re managing your own schedule.

That’s kind of what we’re here for.

Think of us as your cool aunt for women’s health…the one who gives you the real answer, doesn’t make it weird, and helps you figure out what you actually need to do next.

Because becoming independent doesn’t mean figuring out everything alone.

Let’s talk cramps. Because “periods hurt” shouldn’t be the end of the conversation. 💬

Yes, some cramping before or during your period can be completely normal. But there’s a difference between “ugh, cramps” and pain that starts interfering with your actual life.

If you’re missing class, calling out of work, canceling plans, throwing up, spending the day curled up with a heating pad, or planning your schedule around when your period might hit—that’s worth talking about.

And pain is personal. There isn’t a magic number on a 1–10 scale that suddenly makes your cramps “bad enough” to bring up.

Sometimes significant period pain can be a sign that something else is going on, and you deserve more than being told to just take ibuprofen and deal with it.

So tell us what’s happening. Ask the question. Get it checked out.

Your period can be annoying. It shouldn’t be running your life.
