Reflection Friday: Fear is a Liar
Long post Alert:
A year ago, today a door was closing, and I distinctively remember walking into a room filled with members, coworkers, and friends for a farewell lunch. As I was celebrating with them, a familiar emotion crept in.
FEAR began to invade my thoughts, dreams, and goals. I started ruminating and the flood gates of negative messages poured in like a tidal wave.
“You made a mistake.”
“You are about to be alone – on your own.”
“Is it too late to rescind your resignation?”
The fear of the unknown is real. As I was preparing to leap into the world of entrepreneurship the unknown world of the COVID-19 pandemic lurked with so many uncertainties, I was afraid. I knew little about the two and had NO idea of what was to come.
Today, by God’s Grace and Mercy, I am on the other side of the unknowns. One thing I KNOW for sure: Fear is a liar. It will paralyze or even rob you of your DREAMS and GOALS if you allow it.
I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone. Do not be afraid to explore and be genuinely curious about your next chapter. I did and it was well worth me FACING my fears and embracing my NEW – the unknowns.
What lie is fear telling you today that is holding you hostage?
I challenge you to embark on a new journey and face the fear of the unknown.
Make Today a Great ONE!
