Over the last month I’ve had the incredible opportunity to spend time with one of the most renowned, Harvard-trained pediatric orthopaedic surgeons.

This is Dr. Herring. He has trained over 200 fellows, authored over 140 research publications and was of the first two surgeons at this hospital.

Beyond his achievements, his passion lies in caring for patients and teaching residents like myself.

Every morning as I peek in the mirror, I’m reminded that others will see more in me than what I realize: knowledge, reassurance, and hope through my care and medical advice.

"𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐞" is real. It's sometimes aggravated by others, but many times YOU may be the only person augmenting negative thoughts. I did.

An orthopedic surgeon encouraged me with this verse a few days ago:

Jesus (God) is in the Father (God). I am in Jesus (God) and He (God) is in me.

On those days where you're paralyzed with discouragement and fear, think on this.
