September is National Preparedness Month.

Tonight’s class covers medical skills & gear you and your family need BEFORE they need it. Even a small cut or scrape can become problematic when medical infrastructure is compromised, overwhelmed, or even nonexistent.

We’ll discuss lessons learned from previous events, and how those events changed the focus from only “beans & bullets” to “knowledge & wisdom.”

- Medication Lists
- Basic & Advanced Skills
- Tiered Med Kits
- Medical Caches
- Resupply Options
- Medical Sustainment (that’s a loaded one, I know;)

I could list dozens of recent events that prove how important these subjects are, or you could simply open any local news app or OSINT on social media and you’ll see for yourself.

Weekend Recap: BLUF… carry your dang blaster & your med kit. Know how to maximize both! Take your preparedness seriously.

- 10’s of thousands of immigrants overran Spain’s border & ransacked homes and businesses. Citizens had no way of protecting themselves or their homes due to their anti-gun laws and other insane policies.

-Wildfires leveled neighborhoods in Spokane and in Oregon. Have evac plans & keep that GHB/BOB handy. Public safety officials will be spread thin, meaning you’re on your own to handle a medical emergency.

-Dude with a rifle conducted a roving attack in Idaho. Killing three, injuring others in a popular burger joint.

- Extreme heat blankets multiple states, overwhelming some EMS/hospitals with heat-related patients. Which can cause delayed responses, deplete resources, etc.

None of these people woke up expecting to be in the middle of a mass casualty incident, a heat emergency, or a natural disaster. They were eating lunch, driving home, working outside, or spending time with family. Medical emergencies don’t send invitations. The first medically trained person on scene is often an ordinary person.
