Behind the scenes of Mohs Surgery 🔬✨

Tuesdays are Mohs surgery days!! While the procedure takes place, there’s an important process happening behind the scenes. The tissue removed during Mohs surgery is carefully processed into slides and examined under a microscope by Dr. Sallee to determine whether all of the cancer has been removed.

If cancer cells are still present at the edges, Dr. Sallee knows exactly where to go back and remove another layer. This process continues until the tissue margins are clear. 🎯

It’s all about precision, accuracy, and making sure we remove the cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible. 🩵
