Just before closing, a sneaky soul dumped this poor mom and her lone kitten on the far corner of the porch at the East Lake Cat Care Center.

Thankfully, these feline’s pleading cries were so loud that they could be heard inside the building leading them to be discovered almost immediately.

While it is a criminal offense to abandon an animal punishable by up to 1 year in a county jail and up to a 4000.00 fine, this happens surprisingly often.

If these cats had endured extreme suffering and were not found immediately charges could have been elevated to a felony level conviction, regardless of the individual’s criminal history.
