A heartfelt thank you to Troop 730 for an incredible donation benefiting our pediatric patients! This project, led by Scout Nathan as he pursues his Eagle Scout achievement, included two new bookshelves, more than 600 books and an educational resource designed to help children better understand their bodies and medical terminology. 📚
Inspired by a love of reading, learning and volunteering to teach English, Nathan recognized that medical language can sometimes feel like a language of its own, especially for children navigating an illness.
For his project, Nathan created a basic medical terminology resource and an interactive website where young patients can explore different parts of the body and learn how they work through engaging educational videos. His goal is to help children feel more comfortable, informed and curious about their bodies while receiving care.
We are grateful for the time, thought and heart Nathan and Troop 730 put into this project, and for a donation that will help bring the joy of reading and learning to our pediatric patients. 💙📖
