I used to think getting healthy meant starting over: new plan, new schedule, new everything. Then real life showed up with school drop-offs, sports practice, and dinner at 8:30pm.

What actually worked was one small thing that fits inside the chaos. Water before coffee. Protein first. A 10-minute walk after dinner.

Pick one this week. Just one. 🤍

Save this for the next time you feel like you have to do it all, and tell me in the comments: what’s your one thing?

I meant to post this on her day, and life did what life does. Still: Kaia is 8, and she is pure light. Happy birthday, baby girl. We love you. ❤️

Labor Day just wrapped. The unofficial end of summer.

Enjoyed the grill? Great. A drink or two? Good. Now keep 3 things as the calendar flips:
• Protein before coffee
• Water before the second cup
• One walk without the phone

Small. Stacked. Still health.

Most women don’t get enough protein. Then they wonder why their hormones feel off. Energy. Cycle. Mood. That’s not a personality thing. That’s protein.

I’m a holistic nutritionist and a nutritional chef. I know how to cook. I know how to eat. And on a real busy day, getting enough protein from food alone is still tough.

That’s why I take Perfect Amino. Easy. Basically calorie-free. Protein my body can actually use.

✅ Comment or DM “aminos” and I’ll send you the 🔗 {also in bio}

I don’t stop at one thing. I find the one that actually survives a real morning. Then I stack the next. Then the next. That’s how it turns into a routine. Not all at once. Stacked.

Easy solutions. Better alternatives. Stuff I can actually keep doing when the morning is already a mess.

Health-nut approved. Drop-off tested.

🚨 TRIGGER WARNING 🚨
Today is my 5th baby’s 6th birthday (well, technically my 4th baby)… although most of you only see me as a mom of 4. That’s because Kayden Kole was born sleeping at 28 weeks on August 28th, 2020. 💔

Six years later, grief still doesn’t move in a straight line.

Some years I wake up on this date with an odd kind of peace. Some years one old sentence, one photo, one memory puts me right back in that room.

Today has a little of both.
The movie still plays. It just doesn’t run the whole day the way it used to. The scenes are still etched in. I just don’t live inside them the way I did when I wrote “shattered” and meant it with my whole being.

I used to think healing meant getting far enough away that it wouldn’t catch me anymore. It doesn’t work like that. The love didn’t leave. The missing him didn’t leave. What changed is that I stopped needing those things to fade in order to keep going.

Kayden is still my son.
Kannon is still the baby who came after the storm.

I can thank God for the life I have and still hate that we had to say goodbye that day. Both are true.

I don’t need this day to be only sad or only strong. I just need it to tell the truth:
He was here.
We loved him.
We still do.

If you’re marking a birthday the world doesn’t put on a cake, I see you. Being alone in it has always been the hardest part. 💔
