How do you let go of sugar cravings the Ayurvedic way?

First, it’s important to acknowledge that sugar is really good at doing its job! We crave sugar when we’re looking for comfort, nourishment, or fulfillment. Or, if we’re missing something specific from our diet.

That’s because sugar gives you that “full sensation.”

But it’s usually not just physical fullness you’re seeking...but also emotional or dharmic fullness.

When you eat sugar, these 3 things happen:
📈blood sugar spikes
📈cortisol increases
📈dopamine floods in

These trick you into thinking you feel better, so you eventually train your brain to need and want more.

What we’ve helped hundreds of clients do is practice a food sadhana — slowing down, becoming aware, and asking: what do I actually need right now?

These small moments of awareness often lead to more aligned action…which creates the kind of fulfillment that food can’t.
