Please join us in welcoming Dr. Andres Parga to Reveal Research Institute, Frisco!

Dr. Parga brings a passion for advancing dermatologic care through clinical research, education, and patient advocacy. His work has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and national presentations, with interests spanning inflammatory skin disease, skin of color, teledermatology, occupational dermatology, and emerging therapeutic technologies.

At Reveal Research Institute, Dr. Parga serves as a Clinical Research Fellow participating in Phase II–IV dermatology clinical trials while helping advance research that supports the future of patient care.

Driven by a commitment to expanding access to dermatologic care, Dr. Parga is especially passionate about serving rural, Indigenous, and historically underserved communities through research and education.

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Parga enjoys ceramics, photography, gardening, and scuba diving. His creativity extends beyond medicine—he was also recognized as a Featured Artist in the American Academy of Dermatology’s Art of Dermatology exhibit for his ceramic installation, Molecular Tapestry: The Art of Collagen Formation.

Ever wondered what a day in the life of a Dermatology Research Fellow looks like?

No two days are exactly the same—but every day is centered around advancing dermatology research and improving patient care.

A typical day may include:
🩺 Seeing participants during clinical trial visits
🧪 Performing clinical assessments, physical exams, and reviewing lab work
📋 Coordinating study activities and documenting research data
🤝 Meeting with study sponsors and collaborating with research teams
📚 Preparing presentations, contributing to scientific manuscripts, and attending medical conferences

From patient care to scientific discovery, our Research Fellows gain hands-on experience in every stage of the clinical research process while helping shape the future of dermatology.

Dr. Shen earned his medical degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine and brings a strong passion for advancing dermatology through clinical research. Inspired by his family’s personal experience with skin cancer, he has dedicated his career to oncodermatology research and has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications.

His commitment to innovation, compassionate patient care, and expanding access to research makes him a wonderful addition to our team. At Reveal Research Institute, Dr. Shen looks forward to helping advance dermatologic research and improving the future of patient care through clinical trials.

Outside of research, Dr. Shen enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and playing pickleball.
