"They tried to bury us, but they didn't know we were seeds." 🌱
When our communities are trauma-informed, we can better connect with, advocate for, and respect our neighbors. During Hispanic Heritage Month, we want to call attention to the ongoing prejudices and traumas that are severely impacting our Hispanic neighbors, family, and loved ones, especially during this time.
💜 Take a moment to reflect on how you show support and care to the Hispanic members of your community and where you have room to grow in your own cultural competence.
Are you a Spanish-speaking counselor looking to give back to survivors in Texas? Consider applying to become a volunteer therapist for Trauma Support Services to see 1 or 2 survivors at no cost to them.

Care rooted in understanding isn't optional. It's essential.
