Dear Patient,
The COVID-19 virus, also known as the Coronavirus, is upon us. The COVID-19 virus is novel and new. The infectious disease specialists around the world are still characterizing and learning about its effects. What we do know is that it is very contagious and harmful, especially to those in poor health. Dallas-Fort Worth Fertility Associates is taking precautions to keep our clinic safe so that our patients can continue to seek the care needed to create a family. As you know, we take your health and the health of all our staff very seriously. If you have been exposed to anyone with COVID-19 please let us know immediately. We ask the same of our staff. If you have been exposed, you most likely will not be able to continue treatment in your current cycle. The cancellation of infertility care in your cycle may have negative medical and financial consequences. We apologize in advance, but we must be safe and follow the regulations set up by state and national agencies. Please call our office to arrange for a telephone consultation if:
you are ill - even if this is simply believed to be a common cold, or
have traveled in the past 2 weeks to a high-risk area (including Europe),
In particular, if you are in an IVF stimulation cycle and you become exposed, we may be required to cancel your IVF cycle at that time, and you will receive a credit. Dallas-Fort Worth Fertility Associates is following closely all public guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, and our local Dallas County Health Department. While there are many useful recommendations from these guidance reports, our health authorities continue to learn more about this pandemic and recommendations will be updated and modified on an ongoing basis. Please see useful links below. We are hopeful that the current infiltration of our community by COVID-19 will pass. In the meantime, we greatly appreciate your understanding and support as we protect our patients and community through these careful preventative measures. Sincerely,
Dallas-Fort Worth Fertility Associates
