If you just got a new wearable and feel completely overwhelmed by all the data... or you've been wearing one for years and still aren't sure how to actually use the information to improve your health... this is for you.

Devices like WHOOP, Oura Ring, and Apple Watch can provide incredible insights into your health, recovery, sleep, stress, activity levels, and more. But here's the thing:

More data doesn't automatically mean better health.

In fact, many people end up focusing on the wrong metrics, obsessing over daily fluctuations, or collecting data without knowing how to turn it into meaningful action.

The real value isn't in tracking everything, it's in understanding what the numbers are telling you and how to use that information to support your goals.

✨ Which device is best for you?
✨ What metrics actually matter?
✨ How should you interpret the data?
✨ When should you pay attention and when should you ignore it?

We cover all of this and more in the newest episode of Wellness Your Way.

Protein has definitely been having a moment and for good reason. Protein is essential for muscle health, blood sugar balance, hormone production, satiety, and so much more.

But somewhere along the way, the conversation shifted from eating protein-rich foods to consuming protein products.

A protein bar here and there? Totally fine.
A high-quality protein shake when you're on the go? Great tool.

But relying on processed protein products every single day just to "hit your macros" isn't what I recommend.

The foundation should always be real food:
🥩 High-quality meat
🥚 Pasture-raised eggs
🥣 Plain Greek yogurt
🐟 Wild-caught fish
🧀 Quality dairy products

These foods provide not only protein, but also the vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and nutrients your body actually needs to thrive.

Meal planning can make all the difference. When you have nourishing protein sources prepared and available, you're less likely to reach for a bar out of convenience every time you're in a rush.

Don't fall for the marketing that says you need to add processed protein products to everything. Many of these so-called "healthy" foods are packed with additives, fillers, gums, and undisclosed "natural flavors."

Protein matters. But where your protein comes from matters, too.

You probably already know about my love of meal planning and food prep. I talk about it all the time because it genuinely changes how you feel throughout the week: less stress, more structure, and a whole lot more consistency 🤍

And if you’ve been here a while, you also know I’m a big fan of savory breakfasts.

Most mornings tend to lean sweet and while there’s nothing wrong with that, many traditional breakfast options can be surprisingly high in added sugars (even the “healthy” ones). That can lead to a quick spike in blood sugar followed by an energy crash… and the cravings that tend to follow later in the day.

Once I started prioritizing savory, protein-forward breakfasts, I noticed a real shift: more stable energy, fewer cravings, and honestly, I actually started looking forward to breakfast in a new way.

If you’ve ever struggled with mid-morning crashes or constant snack cravings, this simple shift might make a bigger difference than you think.

1️⃣ Hormone imbalances or missing periods:
The body prioritizes survival over reproduction. When energy intake is too low or stress is too high, reproductive hormones often downshift, impacting cycles, fertility, and overall hormonal balance.

2️⃣ Increased irritability, anxiety, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed:
Under-fueling can destabilize blood sugar and increase stress hormones, making the nervous system more reactive and reducing resilience to everyday stressors.

3️⃣ You’re constantly exhausted:
If you’re relying on caffeine, feeling drained all day, or waking up tired, your body may not be getting enough fuel to support energy production, blood sugar balance, and overall metabolic function.

4️⃣ You’re always cold:
Feeling cold more often can reflect metabolic and thyroid adaptation as the body conserves energy in response to low intake.

5️⃣ Constant thoughts about food:
Food noise and cravings are often a biological response to under-fueling, not a lack of discipline or willpower.

6️⃣ Persistent bloating + constipation:
When the body senses scarcity, digestion can slow, leading to sluggish motility, bloating, and constipation even with a “clean” diet.

True wellness is not about eating less or pushing harder. It’s about supporting your body with enough nourishment, stability, and care to function well long term ✨

💬 Comment “BALANCE” if you want to learn how to support your hormones, gut, and metabolism in a sustainable way.

What if the goal isn’t to “fix” your body… but to learn how to work with it? 🤍

In this week’s episode of Wellness Your Way, I’m joined by Dr. Nahal Delpassand to talk about the power of adaptation over perfection, especially for women navigating midlife, chronic illness, autoimmune + invisible conditions, and disability. ✨

This conversation is a reminder that wellness doesn’t have to look perfect to be meaningful 💛

GLP-1s are everywhere right now 👀

But before you start, ask yourself:
✨ Is this supporting my long-term health or just quick weight loss?
✨ Have I addressed the root causes of my cravings, inflammation, or blood sugar issues?
✨ Am I nourishing my body enough to maintain muscle, energy, and hormones?
✨ Do I have sustainable habits in place for when the medication stops?
✨ Am I making this decision from empowerment or pressure?

There’s no shame in using tools that help, but it’s important to ask: are you using it as a supportive tool or expecting it to be a magic cure?

Lasting wellness means addressing the root cause, building sustainable habits, and giving your body the support it truly needs. When the medication ends, will you have the tools to maintain the lifestyle and health you’re working toward?

Your body deserves more than a quick fix, it deserves nourishment, support, and care for the long run.

💬 Want support getting to the root cause and creating habits that actually last (with or without GLP1s)?

If you’ve ever stood in the Target aisle wondering, “Is this actually healthy?” … you’re definitely not alone 🛒👀

Big box stores can feel so overwhelming because there are endless options, confusing labels, and “healthy” marketing on basically everything.
But the good news? If you know what to look for, there are actually tons of healthier hidden gems at Target and many of them are affordable too ✨

Comment "TARGET" for a list of my favorite better-for-you sweets + snacks that support balanced energy, blood sugar, and fewer ingredient overloads without feeling restrictive 🤍

If you’re living a busy lifestyle, constantly juggling responsibilities, dealing with daily stress, and navigating complex female hormones… your body needs fuel.

Not more restriction.

A lot of women are trying to “optimize” their health while running on:
coffee instead of breakfast
chronic stress
intense workouts
poor sleep
under-eating during the day

Then adding fasting on top of it all.

Your body doesn’t see that as wellness. It sees it as survival.

And over time, that can show up as:
fatigue
anxiety
hormone imbalances
blood sugar crashes
cravings
burnout

Supporting your hormones starts with giving your body enough nourishment to feel safe. Sometimes healing looks less like skipping meals… and more like consistently fueling your body well.

Caffeine isn’t the problem...relying on it to survive the day is.

And to be clear, I’m not against coffee. I love a good cup too 🤍

But if you’re relying on caffeine to get through the day, stay focused, or feel like a human… your body may be trying to tell you something deeper.

When your body is constantly exhausted, overstimulated, craving sugar/caffeine, or crashing by 2 PM, it’s often a sign your system is running on stress hormones instead of real energy production.

Some common root causes I see:
• blood sugar dysregulation
• under-eating or low protein intake
• iron deficiency
• poor sleep quality
• chronic stress + cortisol imbalance
• nutrient depletion

Coffee can temporarily mask fatigue but it doesn’t fix why your body is struggling to make energy in the first place.

You deserve stable energy that doesn’t depend on caffeine to carry you through the day. ✨

If you want to better understand whether what you’re experiencing is actually “normal,” our “Is This Normal?” quiz is a great first step. It can help identify whether your symptoms may be connected to underlying imbalances and point you toward potential next steps.
