I practice functional health helping you optimize metabolic health and longevity, so you don’t just lose weight, you gain years of stronger living.

You need a walk after dinner.

When you eat, your blood sugar rises. That’s normal. But how high it goes and how quickly your body brings it back down makes a real difference in how you feel afterward and how your metabolism functions over time.

A 10-minute walk right after a meal helps your body use that food more efficiently. Your muscles absorb more of the sugar from your meal while you’re moving, which means your body doesn’t have to work as hard to bring your levels back down.

Less of that post-meal crash. Less bloating. More steady energy through the evening.

And it doesn’t have to be a power walk. A slow stroll around the block. A loop through the neighborhood with your dog. Pacing on a phone call. Anything that keeps you upright and moving for about ten minutes.

The best part is how stackable this is. One walk after dinner tonight is simple. One walk after dinner every night is a habit that compounds over weeks and months.

If you’re already working on your nutrition, your weight, or your energy levels, this is one of the easiest things you can add that makes everything else work a little better.

✅ Try it tonight. Ten minutes after dinner. One week of this and most people notice a real difference in how they feel after meals.
📲 Share this with someone looking for one simple habit that actually makes a difference.

Free webinar alert.
On October 15, we’re talking about what happens to muscle during immobilization and where blood flow restriction training may fit into the recovery process.

The goal is to give you a practical understanding of how BFR can be used as part of a structured recovery plan when normal training is limited.

Whether you’re recovering from an injury, coaching someone through rehab, or working with patients, this webinar will give you a clearer picture of where BFR may fit.

Diving in Turks and Caicos may be my favorite so far. The water is clear. The water is warm. The animals are plentiful. I highly recommend Dive Provo. They make diving fun.

GLP-1–based medications are prescription therapies, not supplements. Safe use requires appropriate screening, dosing, and medical monitoring.

Common side effects vary by medication but are often gastrointestinal. These may include nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, abdominal discomfort, indigestion, and reflux.

Symptoms frequently occur during dose escalation and may lessen over time. However, patients should not change their dose or schedule without guidance from the prescribing clinician.

Other important safety considerations include:
• low blood sugar, particularly when treatment is combined with insulin or a sulfonylurea
• dehydration and possible kidney injury following persistent vomiting or diarrhea
• gallstones or gallbladder inflammation
• pancreatitis
• severe gastrointestinal reactions
• serious allergic reactions

Before treatment begins, the clinician should review the patient’s medical history, current medications, contraindications, and potential risk factors.

Seek prompt medical attention for severe or persistent abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, inability to keep fluids down, fainting, markedly reduced urination, or symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.

Medication safety is not only about choosing the right treatment. It also depends on screening, monitoring, communication, and knowing when to seek help.
