Your collagen powder and a GLP-1 receptor agonist are both technically peptides. That's where the similarity ends.
Everyday peptides collagen, carnosine, glutathione are widely available generally safe for most people and a reasonable entry point into the peptide space. Collagen supports skin, joints and connective tissue. Carnosine acts as an antioxidant in muscle and brain tissue and may support performance and healthy aging. Glutathione plays a role in detoxification, immune balance, and cellular repair.
Therapeutic peptides are a different conversation. BPC-157, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, Thymosin Alpha-1, semaglutide these work through specific receptors, require clinical indication and should only be used under a licensed practitioner's guidance. Some of what circulates online as 'research peptides' is unregulated, inconsistent in purity and not appropriate to use without proper medical oversight.
If you're considering moving beyond everyday peptides, start with a consult. Link in bio.
