TRUTH BOMB TUESDAY 💣

Not everyone will believe in you or stay by your side, but your success depends on continuing to believe in yourself. Keep showing up, putting in the work, and refusing to give up, even when others do. ~ Michelle

TRUTH BOMB TUESDAY 💣

Taking responsibility for your choices gives you the power to make changes and move forward. Blaming others may feel easier in the moment, but it keeps you focused on the problem instead of becoming part of the solution. ~ Michelle

Not the “I’m fine” answer. The real one.

On a scale of 1 to 5, where does your energy sit right now?

1 feels like running on empty
2 feels like you’re pushing through fog
3 feels steady, nothing more and nothing less
4 feels like you’ve got your footing
5 feels like you’re fully charged and moving with purpose

Every number on that scale is valid. There’s no version of this where you need to perform wellness for anyone, including yourself.

This is actually a practice our own team leans on internally each week, led by our Director of Workforce, Courtney (Kai). It started as a simple way for our staff to stay honest with each other, and it’s grown into something that grounds our whole culture.

We’re inviting you into it too. Drop your number below, or just sit with the answer for yourself. Naming where you are is often the first real step toward moving somewhere better.

You’re not required to be a 5 today. You’re only required to be honest.

TRUTH BOMB TUESDAY 💣

Healthy relationships include people who recognize your effort, encourage your growth, and offer balanced feedback—not just criticism. If someone only notices your mistakes while ignoring your progress, they may be more focused on judging you than supporting you. ~ Michelle

Taking Care of the People Who Take Care of Others

At Maze of Life, supporting our clients starts with making sure our own team feels supported, too.

Behind the scenes, Courtney (Kai) has been creating simple, intentional opportunities for our team to check in with ourselves and with one another throughout the week.

On Mondays, her Monday Check-Ins encourage us to think about how we’re entering the week. What are we looking forward to? What do we want to make time for? What can we allow to be “good enough” instead of perfect? What are we ready to leave behind?

Our Wellness Wednesdays bring attention to our well-being through reflection, practical wellness exercises, and resources we can actually use in our everyday lives. We’ve also made wellness exercises and additional resource tools available to our community through the link in our bio.

Then come Thursday Reflections, when Courtney (Kai) invites us to look back at the week. What carried us through? What small habits supported us? What are we proud of? Where have we made progress that we may not have stopped long enough to recognize?

Courtney (Kai) also leads our Monthly Pulse Survey through Workforce Development. This quick, confidential and optional 1–2 minute internal check-in helps us understand how our team is doing, recognize emerging trends, strengthen communication, and identify areas where additional support may be helpful.

It may only take a few minutes to check in with someone. Those few minutes are valuable.

This is one of the ways we’re working to create a culture where the people doing the work feel seen, heard, connected and supported. When we take care of our team, we’re better equipped to bring our best selves to the individuals, families and communities who trust us to serve them.

Thank you, Courtney (Kai), for reminding us that wellness belongs in the way we work, too.

Guiding the Present to Empower the Future.
