One of the most exhausting things you can do is spend your energy trying to understand someone else’s behavior.

Why did they do that?
Why would they say that?
What made them think that was okay?
What did I do?
What’s their “why”?

Listen… sometimes there is a why. And sometimes you will never know it.

And constantly replaying, analyzing, and trying to make sense of someone else’s behavior can keep your brain and body in a state of stress. When that stress becomes chronic, it can negatively affect your sleep, mood, concentration, energy, and overall health.

Stop giving people free rent in your head while your body pays the mortgage. 😂

You can acknowledge the behavior. Set a boundary. Adjust your expectations. Respond accordingly.

But you do NOT have to spend your peace analyzing somebody else’s choices.

Your brain has enough tabs open. Close that one. 😊

I told myself I would do it in fear.

Because while the idea of speaking engagements scares me, the fear of not getting this information to the people who need it scares me even more.

So I’m stepping outside my comfort zone and doing it anyway. 🎤

When I started ARIAD Psychological Services, my goal was simple: to help individuals and families gain clarity, understanding, and access to the support they need to thrive. As a first-generation Nigerian American raised by a single mother, I learned early the importance of perseverance, community, and creating opportunities where barriers exist.

Today, I am incredibly honored to share that I have been named a 2026 Dallas Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree.

This recognition represents far more than my individual efforts. It reflects the support, encouragement, and belief of so many people along the way. I am especially grateful to my husband, Ibie Coral Aguese , whose unwavering support has helped make this journey possible; to my mother, whose sacrifices, strength, and determination laid the foundation for everything I have achieved; and to City Council Woman Dr. Deyanira Nevárez Martínez for her nomination and for believing in my work and impact within our community.

My hope is to continue expanding access to high-quality psychological assessment services, increasing awareness and understanding of neurodiversity, and helping individuals and families feel seen, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.

Thank you to everyone who has trusted, supported, and encouraged me throughout this journey. I am excited for what lies ahead.

We’re excited to introduce Jaswin as the new Clinical Manager at ARIAD Psychological Services- Houston!

Jaswin holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Texas Southern University and provides psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults under licensed supervision. She is passionate about culturally sensitive, evidence-based care and is dedicated to helping clients feel understood and supported.

With experience in higher education, mentorship, and community mental health outreach, Jaswin brings warmth, knowledge, and a genuine passion for making a difference. We are excited to have her leadership and compassion as part of the ARIAD team!

Big news.....

ARIAD is expanding to Houston! 🎉

We are excited to now offer comprehensive testing services in the Houston area, including evaluations for autism, ADHD, and other developmental and mental health concerns for children, adolescents, and adults.

As we expand, we are looking to build strong connections with Houston-based clinics, ABA providers, pediatricians, speech pathologist, and therapy practices in need of a trusted referral source for high-quality, timely evaluations.
