September gave me so many opportunities to do the things I truly love: teach and mentor, change the lives of women suffering from complex gynecologic disease, and spend time with my incredible OR family. ❤️

I had the honor of speaking to the debutantes at The Potter’s House—pouring into the next generation of young women and reminding them of the power of knowing their worth, protecting their health, and believing in what God has placed inside of them.

Then it was time to travel! ✈️ I headed to Iowa to teach and mentor surgeons, followed by New York City—one of my favorite cities—for more teaching, mentoring, and advancing minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.

In between the traveling, I came home and did what remains at the heart of everything I do: take care of women. Helping women with debilitating fibroids, endometriosis, and other complex gynecologic conditions regain their quality of life continues to remind me exactly why I was called to this work.

And sometimes it’s the little things that mean so much. My amazing scrub tech gifted me the most beautiful surgical hat! 🥹❤️ When you spend countless hours together in the OR doing difficult work, your OR team truly becomes family.

Now I’m headed to ATL—another one of my favorite places! This time to teach, mentor, advise, learn, and continue advancing toward my own goals.

Because no matter how much I accomplish, I never want to stop learning. I never want to stop growing. I never want to stop being teachable.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m pursuing greatness—and I’m grateful that God continues to give me opportunities to become better while helping others become better along the way.

October, I’m ready! 🙌🏾.

Every time a woman tells me, “I was told I have to have an open hysterectomy,” it motivates me to post something about fibroids.

So yes…sorry if it’s graphic. But I feel a responsibility to show women what may be possible.

I’ve been told, “There are too many fibroids.”
I’ve removed more than 125 fibroids from one patient—and she later became pregnant.

I’ve been told, “They’re too big.”
I’ve removed more than 13 pounds of fibroids.

I’ve been told, “They’re in a compromising location.”
I’ve removed fibroids from some of the most challenging locations in the pelvis.

Let me be clear: fibroid removal surgery is HARD. Myomectomy is probably one of the most technically challenging surgeries we perform. Add a minimally invasive approach to the equation, and the degree of difficulty rises exponentially.

But difficult does not mean impossible.

Not every patient is a candidate for every surgical approach, and sometimes hysterectomy or open surgery truly is the safest option. But women deserve to understand all of their options before making a life-changing decision.

I always joke that da Vinci 5 makes the fibroids look smaller. Of course, it doesn’t actually change their size—it means this technology gives me incredible tools to help me do an incredibly difficult job well.

This is why I keep posting.
This is why I keep teaching.
This is why I keep operating.

Because somewhere, there is a woman who has been told “It can’t be done.”

And sometimes, what she really needs is another opinion.

Ask questions. Know your options. And never be afraid to seek a second—or even third—opinion.

Patient satisfaction is one of the greatest reminders that I am walking in the purpose God has for my life. Knowing that I can truly change the lives of so many women is an incredible blessing and a responsibility that I never take lightly.

Every story of restored health, renewed hope, and answered prayers reminds me why I chose this path. Whether it’s helping a woman preserve her fertility, relieving years of pain from fibroids or endometriosis, or simply making her feel heard, these moments make every challenge worthwhile.

I will continue to share this message of hope and healing and advocate for women everywhere. Because every woman deserves to know that she has options, she deserves compassionate care, and she deserves the opportunity to reclaim her life.

The panel is set. The room is ready.

This is who is walking into The Fibroid Room Year 2 on July 26 in Dallas.

A board-certified OB/GYN delivering the keynote our community has been waiting for.

A registered dietitian breaking down exactly what fibroids are doing to your body and what your plate should look like.

A licensed acupuncturist bringing centuries of healing practice into a modern clinical conversation.

A licensed therapist giving voice to the emotional weight that nobody talks about.

A fibroid survivor who trusted her body, advocated for herself, and found the right surgeon.

And me — a board-certified nurse practitioner and myomectomy patient who built this room because I needed it too.

Six women. One room. A conversation we were never meant to have.

July 26. Dallas. General admission tickets are $65.

God sees.

There are moments in life when you work quietly, serve faithfully, and simply focus on the assignment God has placed before you. Then there are moments when He reminds you that He sees every sacrifice, every late night, every challenge overcome, and every life touched along the way.

I am incredibly grateful and humbled to have been asked to speak at Women in da Vinci Surgery. To stand alongside so many talented, innovative, and inspiring surgeons is truly an honor.

What makes this community so special is not just the technology—it is the people. The team Intuitive continuously challenges us to grow, innovate, and reach new heights in patient care. Their commitment to education, mentorship, and excellence inspires surgeons around the world to become better every day. They don’t just provide tools; they help cultivate confidence, leadership, and a vision for what’s possible.

To all of the incredible Intuitive Surgical team: thank you for your unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in us. Your passion for advancing surgery and investing in surgeons does not go unnoticed. Because of your efforts, countless patients are receiving better care and countless surgeons are expanding what they thought was possible.

I am grateful for every opportunity to learn, teach, and serve. Most of all, I am grateful that God continues to open doors that only He could open.

God sees. And when He does, He has a way of placing you exactly where you’re supposed to be.

Endometriosis is more than “bad periods.” It is a chronic, often debilitating disease that can affect every aspect of a woman’s life—her career, relationships, mental health, fertility, and ability to simply make it through the day.

Far too many women are told their pain is normal. Far too many suffer in silence. And far too many have to see multiple physicians before finally finding answers.

This patient came to me after seeing four other doctors. She had spent years living with relentless pain, making difficult decisions, and wondering if she would ever feel like herself again. Together, we discussed her options, weighed the risks and benefits, and ultimately made a decision that was right for her life and her future.

Today, for the first time in years, she is living pain-free.

While I wish she had found answers sooner, I am grateful that God allowed me to be part of her journey. As physicians, we don’t just perform surgery—we restore hope, dignity, and quality of life.

If you are suffering from pelvic pain, painful periods, painful in*******se, infertility, bowel symptoms, or bladder symptoms, please know this:

✨ Your pain is real.
✨ You deserve to be heard.
✨ You deserve answers.
✨ You deserve treatment options.
✨ There is hope.

Endometriosis can be a devastating disease, but for many women, reclaiming their quality of life is absolutely possible with the right diagnosis, the right treatment plan, and the right team.

This week we also changed lives by removing large fibroids. I’m so thankful that God provided me with a gift that helps women reclaim not only their lives, but importantly their quality of life🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

To every woman still searching for answers: don’t give up. Keep advocating for yourself. Your story is not over.
