This patient had prior surgery in another city that did not go according to plan. Too much skin and fat was removed from her lower eyelids, resulting in lower eyelids that were deflated, pulled down, and scarred, making her appear sad and older.

Following a customized surgical plan, I was able to restore her natural eyelid shape and add back volume. She's thrilled with her results, pictured here 3 months after surgery. It’s so rewarding to give someone back her smile!

Fat repositioning in lower blepharoplasty uses the fat that causes the bag to fill in the valley.

Older techniques would just remove the fat, which can lead to hollowing. Fat repositioning not only improves the bag, but critically, also improves the valley. # # # #

“Hunter eyes” typically refer to a more narrow, deep-set, almond-shaped eye with a slight upward tilt at the outer corner (a positive canthal tilt), often associated with a more intense and traditionally masculine gaze.

This patient wanted to achieve a more masculine eye shape and is loving his results 2 months following customized orbital decompression with lower lid retraction repair with graft, canthopexy, and a fat repositioning lower blepharoplasty.

Looking great 2 months after Upper & Lower Blepharoplasty with fat repositioning and a chemical peel.

What I love the most about this result is that she retains her natural facial features and eye shape, but with subtle refinements to the extra skin in the upper eyelids and the hills and valleys in the lower eyelids.

You can see with my pre-surgical markings how I mark the lateral extent of the hooding in the upper eyelid and the dots in the lower eyelid, demonstrating where I will put the repositioned fat to fill in the valley beneath the bag.

Natural but better 👌🏻
