PSA: Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas provides paracervical blocks for IUD insertions.

What is a paracervical block? ➡️ A paracervical block is when a local anesthetic, lidocaine, is injected into the area around your cervix before IUD placement. It helps to numb the area and relieve discomfort during insertion.
