Food allergy care can go beyond simply avoiding the foods you’re allergic to. 🥜🥚

For eligible patients, Oral Immunotherapy (OIT) involves carefully introducing gradually increasing amounts of a food allergen under medical supervision. The goal is to increase the amount of the allergen it takes to trigger a reaction, helping provide an added layer of protection against accidental exposure.

OIT isn’t right for everyone, which is why treatment starts with an individualized evaluation and plan.

Could OIT be an option for you or your child? Let’s find out.

Not every itchy, raised rash is necessarily hives. 🔎

Hives, also called urticaria, typically appear as raised, itchy welts that can change shape, fade, and reappear in different areas. Individual welts usually disappear within 24 hours, even though new ones may continue to develop elsewhere.

A rash that stays in the exact same spot for more than 24 hours, forms blisters, becomes scaly or crusted, or leaves bruising behind may be less typical of ordinary hives and deserves medical evaluation.

When it comes to rashes, the pattern matters. 💙

Eczema doesn’t always settle down when the day ends. 🌙

For many people, itching can become especially disruptive at night, interfering with sleep and affecting how they feel the next day. If eczema is regularly keeping you awake, it may be a sign that your current symptom control needs another look.
At Park Lane Allergy & Asthma Center, we provide personalized eczema care designed around your symptoms, severity, and individual needs.

Your nights should be for rest, not scratching. 💙

Sound hoarse even though you’re not sick? Your nose could be part of the story. 👃🗣️

Nasal congestion and postnasal drainage can irritate the throat, while frequent throat-clearing and mouth breathing may contribute to dryness and changes in your voice. But allergies are only one possible explanation for hoarseness, so symptoms that persist or remain unexplained should be medically evaluated.

Your nose and your voice may be more connected than you realize.

Headache or head pressure? Don’t automatically blame your allergies. 🤧🧠

Nasal congestion from allergic rhinitis can sometimes occur alongside facial pressure or discomfort. But similar symptoms can have other causes, including migraine. Even strong odors like perfume, smoke, or cleaning products may trigger symptoms in some people without representing a true allergy.

That’s why the pattern behind your symptoms matters just as much as the symptoms themselves.

The symptoms can overlap. The cause matters.
