For years, I measured my life by what I could produce.

More ministry. More output. More proof that I was worth something. If I wasn't visibly bearing fruit, I assumed I was doing something wrong — so I worked harder. Prayed harder. Hustled harder for a harvest I was never meant to force.

Can I tell you what set me free?

John 15:5. Apart from Me you can do nothing. Not "apart from Me you'll struggle." Nothing.

That verse wrecked every performance-driven version of faith I had built. Because it meant the fruit in my life was never about my effort. It was about my connection.

A branch doesn't grunt and strain to produce an apple. It just stays attached to the tree, and the fruit happens. That's it. That's the whole secret.

So if you're exhausted trying to produce a life that looks fruitful — hear me: you were never meant to carry that weight. You were meant to stay planted, and let Him do what only He can do.
