Shannon brings with her extensive experience in Revenue Cycle Management, having worked in both private practice and facility settings. ​Janine Shinn is a board-certified physician assistant who joined Rheumatology Associates in January of 2014. Janine earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at UT Southwestern Medical Center in 2013. She has participated in over 100 clinical trials as a joint assessor in collaboration with Metroplex Clinical Research Center evaluating new medications for Rheumatoid Arthritis, Lupus, Scleroderma, Psoriatic Arthritis, and Ankylosing Spondylitis. Janine is a member of Rheumatology Advanced Practice Providers (RhAPP) professional society.

A new Service line coming to Rheumatology Associates! In May we will being offering MSK ultrasound in our Dallas office. In July we will make our unit portable to extend this service to many of our other offices!

Dr. Sharad Lakhanpal was selected to receive the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award 2025. This is the highest honor India bestows on non-resident Indians. With 35+ million expats across all countries in the world, India has the largest diaspora of all nations on earth. The Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards are given every two years to expats for outstanding achievements in their respective fields. This time only 27 expats from 24 countries were selected for the honor.



The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention was held from January 8 to 10, 2025 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. On January 9, Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi came and spoke at the Convention. On January 10, the President of India Smt. Droupadi Murmu conferred the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards.
