⭐️ INTERN SPOTLIGHT ⭐️ last but certainly not least is Dr. Marvin Ho!!!!!!

Hometown🏡: San Ramon, California

Med School📚: Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell

Why here🩵: The people! They really are really really really really excellent. Also, when they say everything is bigger in TX, that includes Med-Peds 🤠

Fav Dallas thing🏙️: you can get to just about anything if you’re willing to drive 15-30 minutes
Career interest🩺: Adult Congenital Heart Disease, Complex Care Pediatrics

Hobbies🥰: Reading, rock climbing, rogue-likes, MtG, cooking soup

Advice🩵: If you’re seeing this, it’s a sign to go read The House of God. Trust yourself and the decisions you make; care about your patients. The process works!

⭐️ INTERN SPOTLIGHT ⭐️ continuing on with our intern class is Dr. Dylan Angle

Hometown 🏡: Phoenix, Arizona
Med school📚: University of Chicago

Why here🩵: This program had a family feel to it during my interview day, and Dr. Bufkin was so kind and supportive. Learning at a variety of institutions that all provide excellent clinical care made me confident I would graduate as a well rounded physician.

Fav Dallas thing so far🏙️: White Rock Lake!
Career interest🩺: Primary Care, Hospitalist, Heme-Onc?

Hobbies🥰: Reading, writing, soccer, being outside, cooking new foods and learning guitar!

Advice for med students🩵: Think hard about what’s important to you in your career and your life outside of medicine. Your family, hobbies, purpose, will always be there even when the hospital won’t! Choose your specialty wisely

Why here🩵: I loved how strong both medicine and pediatrics are, loved the program leadership, and felt like resident input is truly a priority here! My girlfriend is also an ophthalmology resident at Iowa and it was really important for me to have easy access to fly to Iowa City!
Fav Dallas thing🏙️: besides the people, I’ve really enjoyed running on the Katy trail, getting a drink at the Ice House with friends, sand volleyball at The Village
Career interests🩺: potentially cardiology, but still exploring!
Hobbies🥰: pickle ball, sand volleyball, running
Advice for med students: keep an open mind during the interview cycle and trust that you will be where you are meant to be!!

Hometown 🏡: Mobile, AL

Med school 📚: UAB Heersink School of Medicine (Birmingham, AL)

Why here🩵: The bestest of vibes. Of course, the training here is top notch, and I am confident that I will be ready to do anything and everything my heart desires when I grow up. The real things to know about this program is that you get built-in-besties you’ll want to hang out with, you’ll feel supported when you’re down bad AND when you’re flying high, and you can have a great life outside of work bc of the culture/schedule.

Fav Dallas thing so far 🏙️ : Great eats. Great cultural diversity. Very rarely stuck in traffic.

Career interest 🩺 : Primary care, dual hospitalist, transitions of care, adult GI with an interest in transitions.

Hobbies🥰: I eat. I travel. I eat again.

Advice for med students🩵: If you want a burger, eat a burger… and don’t let anyone judge you, criticize you, or take that moment away from you. Know that you’re the protagonist of your own story, so act like it. Whatever you do, do it for you
