Breast cancer runs in my family, so I hear these myths a LOT, especially about hormone therapy. 🎀
Swipe for 8 myths I want every woman to stop believing, from breast lumps to HRT.
The biggest one: “HRT causes breast cancer.” The real answer depends on the type of hormones, your age, how long you use them, and your personal history. That’s a conversation, not a blanket rule.
Menopause symptoms shouldn’t be suffered in silence. Save this and bring your questions to your next visit.
This is education, not personal medical advice.

If you only know your mom’s side of the family history… you’re missing half the story.

Breast cancer runs on my father’s side. My grandmother. My aunt. So for me, this isn’t just something I talk about as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. It’s personal.

Genes linked to breast cancer, like BRCA1 and BRCA2, can be passed down from either parent. That means your dad can carry a gene change and pass it to you, even if he never gets breast cancer himself.

So here’s your homework this week. Text your family three questions. Who had cancer? What kind? And how old were they when they were diagnosed? Ask both sides, and write it down

If you’re average risk, I recommend a mammogram every year starting at 40. If cancer runs in your family, take that list to your provider and ask about a risk assessment, genetic counseling, and whether you should start sooner.

Today is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day. For my grandmother, for my aunt, and for every woman living with this disease… save this, send it to your sister, and make that appointment.

Breast cancer runs on my dad’s side. My paternal grandmother. My paternal aunt. And my sister-in-law has had to fight it too.
So when I tell you to know your body, it’s personal. 🎀
I sat down with Amelia Grant to talk breast health as a Women’s Health NP. Here’s what to watch for: • Skin color changes • Ni**le discharge • A lump, painful or not • Changes in the upper outer breast and armpit • Skin texture that looks like an orange peel
Do a self-breast exam once a month, about a week after your period. Set a phone reminder right now, before you scroll.
If something feels different, don’t wait it out. Make that appointment.

Microneedling, real timeline 🤍 Before → 24 hours → 2 weeks.
That pink flush the next day? Totally normal. It’s your skin kicking off its natural repair process. By 2 weeks, her skin looks calmer, more even, and refreshed, and collagen keeps building for weeks after.
Best results come from a series of 3 sessions, spaced about 4–6 weeks apart.
💬 Comment “MICRO” and we’ll send you details to book.
Before photos taken with numbing cream on the skin (that’s the shine!). Individual results vary.

Deiondra Sanders tried the Lutronic ULTRA laser for the first time ✨ and we’re not gatekeeping 🤫

If you want brighter, smoother, more even skin without being stuck in the house healing for a week, this is the treatment you’ve been looking for.

💎 Fades dark spots and uneven tone
💎 Refines texture and the look of pores
💎 Gives a “glass skin” glow
💎 Little to no downtime
💎 A great option for melanin-rich skin when done by a trained provider

Deiondra came in, got glowing, and went right back to her day. That’s the Timeless experience. 🤎

The goal isn’t to make you look different.
It’s to help you look refreshed, balanced, and still like YOU. 🤎✨

Subtle enhancements. Personalized treatments. Natural-looking results.

Because the best compliment isn’t “Who did your work?”
It’s “You look GOOD!” 😍

To the women who make room for their health, wellness, and self-care in their budgets—I appreciate you more than you know.

Thank you for trusting me to be part of your journey and for choosing Timeless Health & Wellness to care for you. Your support means so much to me.

We talk a lot about women’s hormones changing with age but men deserve that same conversation as well.

Sometimes the people closest to us notice a change before we do. Your partner might say, “You just don’t seem like yourself lately,” and it’s easy to dismiss it.

But changes in your body are worth paying attention to.

The first step isn’t jumping straight to treatment, it’s figuring out WHY you’re feeling different. From there, we can decide whether any type of treatment, including TRT, makes sense for you.

And for the men who’ve been wondering: yes, you can book with me too.

Let’s figure out what’s going on and whether treatment is appropriate for you.

If you’ve been following this series, we’ve covered the three stages of the menopause transition—perimenopause, menopause, and now postmenopause.

The important thing to remember is that Your experience can look different at every stage. Some symptoms may improve, while others can stick around or change over time.

And just because menopause is a natural part of aging doesn’t mean you have to ignore how you’re feeling.

Pay attention to your body, ask questions, and speak up when something doesn’t feel right.

Your menopause journey is your own and understanding what’s happening in your body can make the whole process feel a little less confusing.
