I just received the hardback proof of my book, Come Back to Your Senses — and seeing it as an actual physical book for the first time is a little surreal.
This project grew out of something I kept noticing: we are surrounded by more stimulation than ever, yet so many of us feel increasingly disconnected from our own lives. We look without really seeing. We hear without really listening. We eat without tasting. We move through beautiful spaces while our attention is somewhere else.
*Come Back to Your Senses* is about finding a way back.
Through "sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and intuition", the book explores how our senses can become doorways into greater presence, beauty, ritual, memory, wellbeing, and connection. It is not a conventional self-help book. I wanted to create something that feels part "coffee-table book, part contemplative guide, part collection of rituals, and part philosophy of living" — something beautiful enough to leave out, return to, open at random, and actually experience rather than simply read.
At its core, the question is very simple:
"Are you actually here for the life you’re already living?"
And if not, what might bring you back?
Maybe it’s beauty.
Maybe it’s music.
Maybe it’s the smell of something that takes you somewhere you thought you had forgotten.
Maybe it’s food, touch, nature, silence, ritual, or that quiet voice inside you that knows more than you sometimes give it credit for.
The physical book was designed to feel like an object in its own right — a large-format, visual wellness book meant to live on a coffee table and be experienced slowly, with photography playing a major role in the experience.
Holding the proof today made all of the writing, editing, photography, layout changes, printing issues, revisions, and late nights suddenly feel very real.
Come Back to Your Senses officially releases October 20, 2026 and will be available as Hardcover, Paperback and Ebook and eventually audiobook!
I’m incredibly excited — and admittedly a little emotional — to finally be this close to putting it into the world.
More soon. 🤎
