Struggling to understand your child’s emotions? Feeling overwhelmed by your own reactions? Or wondering if you’re handling this whole parenting thing the “right” way? 🤍

Parenting doesn’t come with a handbook, but having the right tools can make a huge difference. Our Parenting & Secure Attachment Group is an 8-week virtual program designed to help parents better understand their child’s emotional needs, strengthen connection, navigate big feelings, and feel more confident in their parenting!!

Join us Tuesdays from 1–2 PM, September 15–November 3. Sessions are $60 each and completely virtual!

✨ Building connections. Expanding our community. Strengthening recovery.

One of our clinicians, D’Anna Klassen, LPC, CSAT-Candidate, had the opportunity to visit Patton House Sober Living to learn more about their mission, the work they’re doing, and the supportive community they’re creating for individuals navigating recovery.
We’re always grateful for opportunities to connect with organizations doing meaningful work and to better understand the resources available to support our clients beyond the therapy room. Collaboration and community matter — and we’re excited to keep learning, connecting, and growing together. 🤍

Thank you, Patton House, for welcoming me and sharing more about the important work you do!

Back-to-school mornings don’t have to feel like a daily race. A few simple shifts can make the transition a little smoother—for kids and parents. 🤍

⏰ Wake up 15 minutes earlier — give yourself a little breathing room before the morning rush begins.

🌙 Prepare the night before — backpacks packed, clothes picked out, lunches ready. Future-you will be grateful.

💛 Validate feelings before solving problems — “I know you’re having a hard morning” can go a long way before jumping into solutions.

👋 Create one predictable goodbye ritual — a special hug, phrase, high-five, or wave can give kids something familiar to count on.

🌱 Choose progress over perfection — some mornings will be messy. That doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
The goal isn’t a perfect morning—it’s a morning that feels a little more connected and manageable.

Save this for the first week of school, or as a reminder throughout the year!✨

Join us as we congratulate our very own Kristin Devin on completing her supervised hours and achieving full licensure! Way to go Kristin! 🎉

Kristin is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. Before becoming a therapist, she spent years as an educator and Director of Multilingual Programming—work that deeply shaped her understanding of development, culture, communication, and the ways people grow and change within relationships and systems. This background allows her to thoughtfully support children, parents, couples, and families as they navigate life’s many transitions.

Kristin works with adults, children ages 10 and up, families, and couples, offering both in-person and telehealth counseling. She believes that people are best understood within the context of their relationships, life experiences, and environments. Identity, trauma, family dynamics, culture, genetics, and major life changes all intersect to shape how we experience ourselves and the world around us. Kristin honors that each person’s story is complex and uniquely their own.
In the therapy space, Kristin offers a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel seen, heard, and supported. She partners with individuals and families to explore patterns, strengthen relationships, and build insight—helping them navigate change, develop resilience, and move toward greater alignment with their values and goals.

Outside of her work, Kristin enjoys long walks with her dog, spending time outdoors with her husband and young daughter.  As a Colorado native, beating the Texas summer heat is most fun while traveling and connecting with family and friends
