In the early 2000s, low immunization rates posed a serious public health challenge across Texas. TMA Alliance was proud to be part of a collaborative effort to help more Texans receive vaccinations. One memorable part of that work was the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas Care Van, which traveled across the state to host shot clinics in local communities. Today, several local alliances, including the Tarrant County Medical Society Alliance, and the Care Van continue that commitment by working to ensure children have access to needed vaccinations, particularly at this time of year as they prepare to head back to school.

The missing photos from our Bayles Elementary end of the school year awards ! These children are striving to excel in school and the teachers are dedicated to thier students . On a side note Bayles suffered two losses the same week. One teacher has been transferred to another district school after teaching at Bayles for 26 years and the librarian unexpectedly passed away. Flowers were sent on behalf of our Alliance and we provided refreshments for a small reception to wish their colleague well at her new school.

Bayles Elementary’s End of the School Year Awards is always an exciting time. One of our initiatives is proving a new bicycle and safety helmet to the outstanding student for each grade . These students are selected by the teachers and principals. Top grades , leadership and perfect attendance are a few of the criteria needed to be considered. More photos to come! Congratulations to these wonderful students and the devoted teachers.
