The Avita crew was on the scene again last week, promoting LGBTQ+ Pride and fighting HIV stigma in their communities.

Team members supported Shalom Health Care Center's 8th Annual "Around the World" Golf Outing in Indianapolis, Indiana; celebrated at South Alabama Pride with Five Horizons Health Services in Daleville, Alabama; and collaborated with Music City PrEP at its annual fundraiser “Fatherland Fest” in Nashville, Tennessee.

Thanks to our patients, covered entity partners, and everyone who joined in to show support for health equity as a human right.

GLMA's 44th Annual Conference on LGBTQ+ Health is right around the corner, and Avita will share insights about the impact of cultural competency on compassionate, comprehensive, and personalized patient care.

Avita Regional Trainer Tashonna Ruffins and Pharmacist-in-Charge Andy Doan are leading "Designing an LGBTQ+ Cultural Competency Training Program That Puts Compassionate Care First" on September 19th. Join them to explore how Avita drew on community expertise to develop a company-wide LGBTQ+ cultural competency training program and the impact the initiative has had on developing a patient experience that models empathy and respect at every touchpoint.
