A major milestone for spine care at Texas Health Surgery Center Chisholm Trail.

This week, under the leadership of Dr. Carson Fairbanks and our incredible surgical team, we successfully performed our first Image-Guided SI Joint Fusion using the 7D Surgical System. This achievement represents more than advanced technology — it reflects months of planning, collaboration, and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional patient care to the DFW community.

This is just the beginning for our growing spine program as we prepare to expand into additional image-guided procedures including PLIF, XLIF, and ALIF. We are proud to continue advancing precise, efficient, and patient-centered spine care in the outpatient setting.

A special thank you to SCA Health for their partnership and support in helping us bring innovative surgical technology to our patients and community.

Meet Dr. Michael Champine.

A joint replacement specialist focused on hips and knees, Dr. Champine is the third founding member of Texas Orthopaedic Associates and has helped build the practice into what it is today. With 10 years as a “Best Doctor” and recognition as a Texas Super Docs Legacy Member, his experience speaks for itself.

When he’s not in the OR, you’ll likely find him out on the golf course or enjoying time on the water at Lake Cypress Springs. And yes… he bleeds maroon as a proud Aggie, but we won’t hold that against him 😉
