Type 1 Telehealth

Type 1 Telehealth Virtual direct care by providers who live with T1D themselves—because we get it.

For so many of us with type 1, the first place people look is what we ate, what we bolused, or what we did “wrong.”

But the truth?
Your pump settings and algorithm play a HUGE role in your blood sugars.

And you can’t just copy and paste settings from one pump to another and expect the same results.

We look at the full picture, because managing type 1 is more than just carbs and corrections.

Confession #1:
I have high blood sugars.
I have low blood sugars.

Yes… even as an endocrinology provider.

If you’ve ever walked into an appointment feeling like you needed to “be better”, this is your reminder that perfection was never the goal.

I don’t expect perfect numbers.
I don’t expect perfect days.
I expect real life… because I live it too.

And honestly? Some days managing type 1 feels effortless. Other days it feels like nothing makes sense.

Both are normal. Both are valid.

So when you sit across from me (or log on), you don’t have to explain, justify, or apologize.

I get it.

More confessions coming…

You’re heading into freshman year of college with type 1 diabetes, and realize you don’t have to do it alone.

I remember driving an hour and a half just to see my pediatric endo—missing school, rearranging life, and trying to make it all work. And then suddenly… you’re on your own, navigating classes, hormones, late nights, new routines, and blood sugars that don’t always make sense.

That’s exactly why we built this.

Care that fits into your life:
-Evening + weekend appointments
-No travel, no missed classes
-Providers who actually get type 1 diabetes
-Real support for real life (not just perfect numbers)

Because college is already a big transition—you deserve diabetes care that makes it easier, not harder.

If you’re starting this next chapter, we’re here for you 🤍

There are a lot of not-so-fun parts about living with type 1 diabetes, and frequent labs are definitely one of them.

But ever since I was a little girl, my mom created something I looked forward to: post-lab chick-fil-a.

fasting → labs → chick-fil-a. every. single. time.

and somehow, that tiny tradition stuck 🤍

To this day, i still schedule my labs knowing there’s something good waiting for me on the other side.

It’s such a small thing, but it changed how I experienced something hard. Instead of dreading labs, I almost… look forward to them?

Just a reminder that even in chronic illness, we can create little moments of comfort, reward, and joy.

What’s your “post-hard-thing” ritual?

Conferences aren’t just a “nice to have” for us—they’re part of how we take better care of our patients.

In diabetes care, things are always evolving… new technology, new data, new ways to make life easier. And if we’re not actively learning, we’re falling behind.

That’s why Katie and I intentionally invest time into continuing education—staying connected with device reps, understanding the real ins and outs of insurance, and knowing cash-pay options so we can meet patients wherever they are.

Because good care isn’t just knowing the textbook answer.

It’s knowing what’s actually accessible, realistic, and sustainable for your life.

We don’t expect our patients to keep up with everything—that’s our job.
