Each year, Stephanie Fischer, LCSW, Co-Founder of Northeast Resilience Center and Clinical Director at Clearbrook Treatment Center, has the privilege of partnering with local law enforcement in the Lehigh Valley to provide Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, with a focus on substance use, co-occurring disorders, and trauma-informed care.

This work continues to highlight the dedication these officers bring to their roles and their willingness to better understand the complexities of mental health and addiction. Their commitment to learning and growth reflects a genuine investment in responding to the community with empathy, professionalism, and care.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to S. Drew Taylor, MS, Director of Forensic Services, Lehigh County Forensic Services, for his leadership and ongoing dedication to strengthening the connection between behavioral health and law enforcement. His efforts play a vital role in improving outcomes across our communities.

We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support we received at our Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting for The Northeast Resilience Center.

Seeing so many members of our community, along with our friends and family, come out to celebrate, tour our space, and support our mission meant more to us than we can fully express. We are truly humbled to be part of such a compassionate, collaborative behavioral health community dedicated to helping those in need.

We would like to extend a special thank you to:

Meet the team- Stephanie Fischer

Hi everyone! I’m Stephanie Fischer, LCSW and Co-Founder of Northeast Resilience Center.

I’ve been working in the behavioral health field since 2004, supporting individuals and families through challenges such as anxiety, trauma, life stress, and addiction. Throughout my career I’ve worked in both clinical and leadership roles, which has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of compassionate, high-quality care.

Co-founding Northeast Resilience Center has been an exciting opportunity to build a practice focused on helping people strengthen resilience, navigate difficult experiences, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My goal in therapy is to create a space where people feel respected, supported, and empowered to do the work that leads to lasting growth.

I’m grateful to be part of this community and excited to welcome new clients to the practice.

Meet the Team: Sean Dowling, LCSW

Hi, I’m Sean, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and co-founder of The Northeast Resilience Center. I’m passionate about helping people move through difficult seasons of life and reconnect with what truly matters to them.

In therapy, I work with adults who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, or challenges related to substance use and recovery. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in evidence-based treatments such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills.

I believe that meaningful change doesn’t come from simply “thinking differently,” but from learning new ways to respond to life’s challenges and taking steps toward the life you want to live. In our work together, we focus on building psychological flexibility, developing practical coping strategies, and helping you move toward your values—even when things feel difficult.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with family, golfing, fishing, and exercise.
