EquiTeam Support Services uses equine-assisted therapy to offer a unique, non-traditional approach to therapy.

At EquiTeam you will be welcomed onto a picturesque equine farm. A therapist will greet you and welcome you in. Our goal is that you feel comfortable and supported as you begin each session. Our horses, cats, and dogs create a warm, engaging environment. The horses will interact with you as you participate in talk therapy with your therapist and the equine team.

Did you know that when we are in close proximity to a horse they help us to become regulated? A horse’s resting heart rate can be between 28 to 40 beats per minute. The horse can help our heart rate to synchronize with theirs causing us to become calm and grounded.

These statements are what we hear when working with our clientele. EquiTeam helps our clients work through horrific traumas. So many of our clients don’t have the funding to get the help they need. Please help us support our clientele by donating this Friday during Give Local York.

We may be a small non profit but we provide an amazing animal assisted therapy service to support those that need help in York County. To help them become healthy members of society. Thank you in advance for supporting our clients find peace and calm.

Ellie Williams - Executive Director - is one of only 17 Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy Practitioners in the entire United States. Her extensive knowledge in developmental trauma helps so many in York County and surrounding areas.

EquiTeam is a part of Give Local York again this year (May 1-2). EquiTeam works diligently every year to raise funds for clients to receive trauma therapy, that are typically unable to afford services.

EquiTeam is unique in that we focus on extreme trauma - developmental, complex and combat traumas that, if left untreated, can be crippling. Every year there EquiTeam has to raise over $100,000 to financially support this population and help them stabilize and become healthy members of our community.
