Summer is officially here — and so are the heat, humidity, and busy outdoor schedules that come with it. ☀️

A few things to keep in mind this season:

☀️ Stay hydrated — kids need more fluids in the heat than they realize
🌿 Bug spray before outdoor play — EPA-registered repellents are safe for kids 2 months and older
😴 Protect sleep schedules — longer days can throw off bedtime routines faster than you'd think
🩺 Keep up with well visits — summer is a great time to catch up on any missed checkups

Before you say yes — here are the two things that matter most this summer. 👀✅🛟

𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 — because sunburns happen fast, and the damage lasts longer than the sting

✔️ SPF 30 or higher, broad-spectrum
✔️ Apply 15–30 minutes before heading out
✔️ Reapply every 2 hours — more often after swimming
✔️ Don't skip the ears, back of the neck, and tops of feet

𝗦𝘄𝗶𝗺 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 — because drowning is silent, and it happens in seconds

✔️ Life jackets for young or non-swimmers — non-negotiable
✔️ One designated water watcher per swim — phone down, eyes up
✔️ Swim lessons are one of the highest-impact safety investments you can make
✔️ Empty inflatable pools after every use, even the small ones
