20 years ago today I made the best decision as an Occupational Therapist/ Certified Hand Therapist to purchase the existing Florida Hand Therapy and Rehabilitation from my colleague and friend Brenda. It sometimes feels like yesterday. I am so grateful to all of the amazing staff that have helped me make it to 20!! Andrea is my main girl! The woman that runs the clinics and keeps me sane. Thank you to Ashley and Alex for being awesome hand therapists who make the day fun and tolerable at times. I do not have another 20 years ahead of me in this profession, but perhaps in the near future, another Hand Therapist will take the reins and make Florida Hand Therapy the best decision they ever made! hand therapist practice therapy

The caps these days are so small! They used to have more depth for fingers to get a hold of them. Imagine having a hand injury and trying to do this! We get this complaint every day. ✌🏽

Please welcome Alex to our Florida Hand Therapy and Rehabilitation family. We are so happy that he is now a part of our team!

Alexander “ Alex” Gonzalez is a licensed Occupational Therapist specializing in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. He earned his Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Nova Southeastern University and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Alex has experience treating conditions of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder with expertise in postoperative rehabilitation, custom orthosis fabrication, wound care, fracture management, tendon and nerve injuries, and therapeutic exercise. He is committed to providing individualized, evidence based care that helps patients restore function, reduce pain, and return to their daily activities. Alex is currently pursuing his Certified Hand Therapist ( CHT) credential to further advance his expertise in upper extremity rehabilitation.
