UPDATE ON SHERRY:

Dear Patients and Colleagues,

I wanted to give you all a brief update on Sherry's condition. Her wrist is now healed, and the shoulder surgery was successful. She is now out of her sling, and phase two of therapy has begun. Her next surgical follow-up appointment is at the end of August.

Sherry has been overwhelmed with the kindness and generosity shown by all of you. She wanted me to send a great big Thank You to all of you who have been so supportive and so patient during this very trying time. We ask that you continue to keep good thoughts for her as she continues to heal and strengthen, with the hope that she will be back to her practice soon.

Lastly, I wanted to mention a minor change in how we will be contacting you all. Our main email address will remain [email protected]. And questions or concerns you have, please use this email address.

However, due to some issues with our contacts list on yahoo, we have a new proton mail email address that will be used strictly for notifications to our patients and colleagues regarding office closings, events, updates, etc. So, if you happen to receive an email from [email protected], it is strictly a notification email from our office.

Dear Patients and Colleagues,

As you all know, the earthquakes in Venezuela have been nothing short of devastating. We have taken the initiative to collect donations in our office in an effort to help the victims of this devastation as best we can.

We are accepting non-perishable items, diapers, toothbrushes, etc. We have placed a donation box in the office for your convenience. Thank you all, in advance, for your kindness and generosity.

Dear Patients and Colleagues,

As many of you know, Sherry suffered an injury a few weeks ago that has caused her an inability to work. Aside from a fractured wrist, MRI results show some injury to her shoulder as well. We should know more after her next appointment with her doctor.

It has come to my attention that one of Sherry's colleagues, Lily Burguillos, has started a Go Fund Me page for Sherry. She tried to share it here on our business page but was unable to. So, I am sharing it on both their behalf.

We sincerely appreciate all the love and support Sherry has and is receiving from friends, colleagues, family and patients alike. It's truly humbling and overwhelming. We thank you and love each and every one of you. Please keep Sherry in your thoughts and prayers throughout this journey of recovery. It's deeply appreciated.

Dear Ladies,
We have been given an exciting opportunity to host a special event at our offices. The event is scheduled for Sunday, February 22nd, at 2:00 p.m.

The subject: An educational Talk on Perimenopause and Menopause.

Our Guest Speaker: Martha Rabinovich

Ms. Rabinovich, by training, is a Mental Health Counselor. Over the years, aside from life experience, she has also trained as a Menopause Coach and has been involved in the menopause movement. She has supported women who often feel confused, overwhelmed by what is happening in their bodies, symptoms often dismissed by medical professionals.

Ms. Rabinovich’s goal is to help women better understand and navigate this time of life, explain in clear and simple terms what women are experiencing so they can effectively communicate their symptoms with their medical practitioners in order to receive more appropriate care.

Her training and experiences have led to collaborations with leading voices, such as Dr. Vonda Wright and Tamsen Fadal. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Let’s Talk Menopause, a national nonprofit dedicated to menopause education and advocacy.

The 1-hour event will cover the following:
What Perimenopause and Menopause really are
Common symptoms that are often misunderstood or dismissed
Why many women are misdiagnosed
How to track and describe symptoms clearly
How to advocate for yourself with medical providers
The talk, while not medical advice, is both educational and empowering.

Event Details:

Cost: $22.00 per person, collected on site. Paid Participants will receive downloadable materials after attending.

An optional private 1:1 Menopause Coaching session is offered to participants for $350 with a $22.00 credit applied toward the private session.

Private session includes:

Guidance on what to discuss with medical providers
Personalized tool and next steps
Written summary after the completed session.

Sherry, our favorite Acupuncturist, will be participating in a "Bikeathon" in support of Autism. The event takes place on March 28th.
She has set for herself a goal of $500, achievable easily with all our support. As many of you know, Sherry has participated in numerous bikeathons in support of causes that greatly benefit the community, and she continues to train hard to meet the challenges she faces on these rides. She does this with an open, caring heart.
