⚠️CRITICAL UPDATES FOR TEENS (Ages 11-13 & 16-18): If your child is entering 6th or 12th grade, they need their Meningitis (Meningococcal) vaccine. As many families in our community know, our county frequently experiences severe shortages of this specific vaccine every summer.

Don’t wait until the August rush! We currently have the Meningitis (Meningococcal) vaccine available, and we want to help you get those school physicals completed early.

Who needs it?
To meet school requirements and ensure full protection, the vaccine is recommended for these key groups:
Incoming 6th Graders (Ages 11–13): This is when the first dose is typically administered to build early immunity.

Incoming 12th Graders (Ages 16–18): A booster dose is required during these years to make sure protection lasts through the transition to college or the workforce.

Why is this vaccine important?
Meningitis is a rare but very serious bacterial infection that can affect the lining of the brain and spinal cord. It can spread quickly in places where students gather, like classrooms and locker rooms. The vaccine is the most effective way to keep our students safe and healthy.
